I'm in a bunch of Bertucci's commercials!
I mean my body and voice is!
That's right, everyone - I have a Bertucci's body.
In other news, The Women in Comedy Festival starts in 5 days!
What is that, you ask? Awesome question.
It a bunch of comedy, free events, and workshops that run from March 24-28, 2010 at ImprovBoston in Cambridge, MA and Mottley’s Comedy Club in Boston’s historic Faneuil Hall. The festival will showcase 21 stand-up, improv, sketch, and storytelling performances starring 150 of the country's hottest comedy stars from Comedy Central, MTV, VH1, HBO, Letterman, Leno, Second City and more.
Look, this is from the press release, where I get quoted and seem more important than I really am, due to the quotes and hard data I made up:
“Most comedy festivals feature about 80% men and 20% women. Our festival flips this tradition on its head,” says festival co-director Maria Ciampa. “The ‘women’ in Women in Comedy Festival refers to the fact that WICF is directed by, produced by, and features comedy by the ladies,” she explains. “However, men do comedy too, and we don’t want to exclude anyone.”
Get your tickets, before it's all sold out!
What, more news? Yup. I have signed on with an agency that tells me it will help me to do my stand up comedy at colleges, where they pay stand up comedians a fair amount. So this is a wonderful thing. Look, they make me seem really quite professional. As I suppose I am!
Last, I love doing yoga, you guys know that. My favorite thing is to go to a great class, taught by a yoga instructor that gets me out of my head, into my car. I mean out of my dreams, into my breath. Or something like that. I like a fun yoga class.
I highly recommend going to one of Amy Sullivan's classes - she is quite the rising star on the Boston yoga scene! She teaches at South Boston Yoga Sundays at 11 am, Tuesdays at noon, and Thursdays at 4 pm.
Namaste, bitches!
